Laser Drill OperatorThe Laser Drill Operator is responsible for setting up and operating equipment such as ESI and Lumonics machines. The individual will perform laser drilling tasks according to the travelers or as directed by Managers.Key Responsibilities:Check traveler for due date, material type, and special request for priority before starting the processes.Operate ESI and Lumonics machines to drill boards.Inspect and produce products using tools such as microscope and micrometer.Check registration and make adjustments as needed before running multi-layered product.Inspect for debris, burr, and missing or shallow holes after completing the drilling process.Log job status on computer using the PCB software (ProCim) and complete Non-Conforming Material Report (NCMR) form for all products that are rejected from the process before moving to the next process.Assist department in achieving zero scrap per month.Perform daily maintenance on machines and housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment.Inform Managers (Drilling/Fabrication Manager, Production Manager, etc.) of any potential problems.Ability to stand/walk 8 + hours per day.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications - Knowledge/Skills- Experience:Excellent oral and written communication skills.Exceptional multi-tasking, organizational skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of management.Self-motivator and a sense of ownership and urgency.Must be able to maintain confidentiality & professionalism at all times.Proficient in Microsoft Office using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required.High School Diploma preferred.2-6 years experience in laser drilling for PCB Manufacturing Company.Previous experience and knowledge of laser drilling machines a must.Ability to read and understand technical work instructions.Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds maximum.Ability to stand and walk throughout the day.Ability to follow procedures and maintain quality of products at all time.Ability to perform at the highest level in a fast-paced environment.Supervises: NonePhysical Demands: The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. The employee must frequently stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
