Responsibilities
- Provide strategic oversight and operational leadership for laboratory services
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
- Oversee the implementation of advanced laboratory technologies
- Manage the division's budget to ensure financial sustainability and operational efficiency
- Support staffing, recruitment, and professional development of laboratory personnel
- Promote and support research initiatives within the laboratory
- Oversee the laboratory's educational activities
- Mentor faculty and trainees
Compensation
- The referenced pay range ($250,000-$300,000) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base range of compensation for this faculty position
- Individual salaries will be determined within the job's salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries
- Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process
- Compensation: $250,000 - $350,000
Qualifications
- MD or MD/PhD with board certification in Clinical Pathology or a subspecialty of Laboratory Medicine (e.g., Transfusion Medicine, Microbiology, Hematopathology, Molecular Pathology)
- Eligible for medical licensure in the state of New York
- Open to visa sponsorship
