Lab Engineer

The Lab Engineer will be responsible for the hands-on maintenance, operation, and continuous improvement of test infrastructure that supports Amazon Prime Air's drone development and production programs. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical systems, manage lab organization and safety compliance, and collaborate across hardware, software, and production teams to keep test infrastructure running at high availability.

Key job responsibilities:

• The Lab Engineer maintains and troubleshoots electromechanical test infrastructure ensuring high availability for engineering and production teams.
• Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, building and wiring new test rigs, and resolving hardware issues as first-line technical support.
• The role also supports lab infrastructure (network cabling, power distribution, rack organization), coordinates procurement of equipment and consumables, and maintains documentation such as SOPs and wiring diagrams.
• The engineer drives continuous improvement in test system reliability and lab operational efficiency.
