Sr. Kafka Messaging Senior DeveloperThe Sr. Kafka Messaging Senior Developer will drive the design, implementation, and adoptions of real-time stream data platform that will be a key enabler for our cloud-based business-application architecture.
Responsibilities include:Define strategy and roadmap of the NextGen "Stream Data Platform" based on Confluent KafkaEstablish best practices for implementing our SDP based on identified use cases and required integration patternsAccelerate our adoption of the Kafka ecosystem by creating a framework for leveraging technologies such as Kafka Connect, KStreams / KSQL, Schema Registry, Apache Flink and other streaming-oriented technologyAssist in building out the DevOps strategy for hosting and managing our SDP microservice and connector infrastructure in the Azure cloudExplore real-time, predictive analytics and machine learning on operational and business data captured on the SDP to enable new business opportunitiesMentor existing team members by imparting expert knowledge to build a high-performing team in our NextGen technologyRequired Qualifications:Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a Technical discipline and a minimum of 13+ years of related experienceSeasoned messaging expert with extensive, well-rounded background in a diverse set of messaging middleware solutions (commercial, open source, in-house) with in-depth understanding of architectures of such solutionsStrong fundamentals in distributed systems design and operationsDeep understanding of different messaging paradigms (pub/sub, queuing), as well as delivery models, quality-of-service, and fault-tolerance architecturesKnowledge of messaging protocols and associated APIsApplied experience with microservice architecture and the reactive modelStrong background in integration patternsIs informed on developments occurring across the industry in this spaceDomain experience in Supply Chain
