We develop and deliver tools, libraries, and frameworks that enable engineering teams at Optum Digital to deliver effective and quality code fast to our customers.Primary ResponsibilitiesSolve complex technical challenges around engineering workflow, quality, productivity, and velocityWork with Engineering teams to help build their services in KubernetesHelp engineers push code from keyboard to production through Github Actions and JenkinsBuild monitors and alerts that keep uptime high, and production incidents low (Splunk, Datadog)Create new APIs, internal platforms, and tools for 1,000 engineers to use every day to get their code shippedRequired Qualifications3+ years of experience writing code in a modern programming language (Python, Golang, Scala, Java, Ruby, C#, Javascript, etc.)3+ years of experience with a major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)3+ years of experience working with Linux containers (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)Experience in at least a few of the following: developing testing frameworks from scratch, developing engineering tools, test automation, test-driven development, Performance testing, and test infrastructurePreferred QualificationsExperience with building and supporting CI/CD platforms for a microservices ecosystemExperience working in a large (500+ engineers) software engineering organizationExperience in a strongly regulated software industry (healthcare, finance, etc.)BS in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical role or the equivalent experienceRequired SkillsAt least 1 from each section on their resume.
