Fullstack Developer / Java Web DeveloperThis position is for an experienced Java and Web developer for the Financial Advisor Compensation Team. The team is responsible for maintaining and processing large amounts and volumes of data, all centered around paying all Financial Advisors correctly. The team’s goal is to build a new renovated system in Wealth Management to reduce risk, pay the FAs accurately and thus influence firm strategy.The FA Compensation lead candidate would play a senior developer role on the team with the following responsibilities:Understanding business needs and converting them into technical specificationsLeading a new team to build the applicationCommunication with Senior ManagementDeveloping and designing Java batch processesCoordinating with offshore leads to ensure all deadlines are metWorking with the team as a process-oriented lead and adhering to the organization’s product development standardsAdvising on Design for Optimized Data AccessWorking with other development groups to understand/gain access to the new Field DesktopPrimary Skills / Must have:Strong knowledge in object-oriented programming concepts and designStrong knowledge and experience in Java and web service technologiesClient-side JavaScript technologies including Angular and JavaScriptSQL skills and a thorough understanding of database constructs3-5 years of coding experience in web/batch developmentStrong data analysis and data quality assessment skillsExperience with performance testing and improvementCritical thinker and problem solver who has a strong base in web technologies and design conceptsAbility to develop and follow change management processes for consistent and maintainable versionsInteractive filtering via visualizationExcellent communication and written skills and willingness to work across time zonesStrong understanding of SDLC and proven track record of operational efficiencySecondary Skills / Desired skills:Exposure to the financial services industryExposure to Cloud technologiesExposure to real time messaging (Kafka)Interview Process: 2 Video Rounds!
