Inventory Planning SpecialistLocation: In Office, Portland, ORThe base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience:$65,000 to $82,300 Annual Salary DOEJob SummaryThe Inventory Planning Specialist is responsible for issuing, maintaining and closing purchase orders and for maximizing material availability to support Commercial Operations in the US.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate and execute buy plan for corrective materials.Analyze reorder points and make adjustments as needed to ensure optimized inventory levels across the fleet.Ensure maximized delivery performance for preventative materials to remote wind parks.Work closely with suppliers and wind parks on eliminating any inventory shortages and minimizing impacts as a result of supplier delays.Issue purchase orders, monitor delivery confirmation dates and coordinate with Internal customers.Work with supplier on expediting purchase orders as needed. Resolve invoice related issues with suppliers.Maintain PO delivery dates and ensure high level of PO data accuracy in the ERP system.Assist Regional Distribution Centers on resolving shipping errors and process returns to supplier.Monitor supplier's record of delivery issues, highlight areas of improvements and assist in improvement activities.Participates in cost savings initiatives and in deployment of technology solutions.Document best practices, update work instructions as needed.Create ad-hoc inventory reportingSupport internal auditsPerform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in a Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain; or the equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum of 5 years' experience in inventory planning or purchasing.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Demonstrated high performance working in cross-functional teams.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, OutlookAbility to travel (15%)Preferred QualificationsAPICS certificationExperience with wind plant construction, operations, and maintenance.Takes action beyond that required by explicit job responsibilities; sets high-performance goals and originates action rather than responding to the action of others.Ability to foster and participate in a productive team environment by establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers, managers, customers, contractors, and vendors.Stays on task, maintains effectiveness, and attempts to achieve goals even when obstacles are encountered.Ability to efficiently manage multiple, concurrent, time sensitive projects and priorities.CompetenciesGrowth & Continuous ImprovementInitiative & ChangeFocused on ResultsCustomer Centric (internal and/or external)CommunicationCollaborationLeadership (people managers/leaders)All offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a medical exam, background check, references, drug screen, verification of legal right to work in the U.S., and in some cases, a credit check.
