Major product lines include a complete line of thermoplastic and metal fabricated enclosures, fiber optic cable connection and management systems, and high-performance below-grade vaults.JOB SUMMARY:The Inventory Clerk is responsible for electronically identifying, verifying, and transacting all products produced by various departments.

Responsible for investigating, identifying, and correcting the causes of any discrepancies between inventory system records and physical cycle counts. Responsible for computer system update transactions that account for all physical movement, consumption, and inventory production. Ensuring that all products moved are correctly identified and quantified.

Responsible for the biological activity of all transacted products to designated locations. In addition, some essential quality control will be required.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Reconcile daily production and materials movements to contribute to 98% or greater inventory accuracyServe as the shop floor key user of ERP and other inventory and production systemsPerform inventory cycle counts daily and report data to the material control department before the end of the shiftPerforming quality checks on stored inventory and discarding inventory that does not meet the company's standardsMaintaining and updating recordsPrepare reports on price lists, inventory balance, and shortagesResearching the accuracy of product details and testing new productsOther tasks as assignedKNOWLEDGE OF:Good understanding of inventory control and transactionsABILITY TO/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:Must understand and follow all departmental safety rulesUnderstand Safety Data Sheets (SDS)Have or obtain a forklift licenseISO sections about the positionEQUIPMENT USED:RF ScannerForkliftBar coding equipmentQualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:Must have a valid driver's licenseHave at least one year of experience working in a warehouse, manufacturing, or production facilityHave at least one year of forklift experience and forklift certificationLogistics or supply chain background preferredMust be able to speak, read/comprehend and write in EnglishAbility to lift to 50 poundsCapacity to work overtime as neededExcellent computer skills with the aptitude to learn complex ERP and other systems (Oracle)Prior SAP or Oracle experience preferredExcellent communication skillsKnowledgeable in manufacturing bills of materials and packaging specificationsMust be a team player and take direction wellGood vision (this can be accomplished with corrective lenses), central and peripheral vision in both eyes to detect objects or movement in the field of view.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: The physical demands and working conditions requirements indicated below are examples of the orders to carry out the essential job functions.Physical Demands: Standing, sitting, walking, use of central and peripheral vision, and hearing (up to continuously); speaking/verbal communication, bend/stoop, twist neck and torso (frequently); reach, hold, grasp, push, pull, lift/carry raw material, finished product, tools and machinery up to 50 pounds (frequently)Working Conditions: Work indoors and outdoors; exposure to temperatures commensurate with outdoor seasonal temperatures.
