Vascular ultrasound exams include: US Retroperitoneal, US Kidney Transplant w Doppler, US Lower Extremity Arteries Bilateral and Limited, US Upper Extremity Arteries Bilateral, Limited and Unilateral, US Visceral Vascular Abdomen Complete and Limited, US Duplex Aorta, Iliacs, or Bypass Grafts, and US Duplex of Hemodialysis Access.Shall provide consultation and instruction to referring physicians regarding appropriate indications for Interventional radiologic procedures so that the most expeditious and clinically appropriate work-up can be done.Shall determine the appropriate course of treatment and communicate in person or by phone with the referring clinicians.Shall provide review of all requested exams daily.Shall interpret vascular ultrasound, MRAs, and CTA exams in the timeframe as flagged by the MVAHCS Technologist.Shall attend one, half-day consultation clinic.Shall provide discharge education and follow up instructions that are coordinated with the next care setting for all emergency department patients.QualificationsShall have a current license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia when services are performed onsite on VA property.
