Presbyterian Medical Group is seeking a Board Eligible / Board Certified Internal Medicine Physician to provide outpatient primary care services in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. This full-time role involves leading and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient care. The position emphasizes well-being, offering a nationally competitive salary and a supportive practice environment.

Practice Info

  • Practice call in rotation with the group
  • Support from Patient Centered Medical Home team consisting of Clinical Pharmacists, Behavioral Health Clinicians, Care Managers, Nurse Practitioners & Physician Assistants along with Registered Nurses & Medical Assistants.
  • EMR: EPIC

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive medical care to patients with acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Make professional medical judgments in the care of patients seen.
  • Order, conduct, and interpret appropriate diagnostic x-ray and lab tests.
  • Prescribe treatments, medications, and non-pharmacologic therapies.
  • Document all patient encounters and communications appropriately.
  • Manage the provider/patient relationship.
  • Receive and resolve patient complaints.
  • Involved in education and counseling of individuals, families, and groups.

Shift & Schedule

  • Full time
  • FTE: 1.00
  • 16-20 patients per day
  • 34 patient contact hours with 6 administrative hours per week
  • Practice call in rotation with the group

Requirements

  • MD/DO.
  • Board Eligible or Certified in Internal Medicine.
  • State of New Mexico Medical License.
  • DEA & NM Controlled Substance Registration.
