Recruiter - Accounting, Finance, and Digital Transformation - Consulting and Permanent Placement
We are working with a private company in the Baltimore Metro area with an international presence that needs to hire an interim accounting manager to help with reporting, month-end close, and fixed assets.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end oversight of financial processes, including recording journal entries, reconciliations, financial reporting, and revenue
- Knowledge of fixed asset accounting
- Proficient in developing Excel schedules and financial workpapers
- Perform and review balance sheet account reconciliations, resolving any discrepancies
- Provide analytical review and fluctuation analysis to support periodic activity
- Identify internal control gaps and implement controls within the finance, business, or accounting organizations to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Review new business contracts and assess their operational and accounting impact
- Experience in researching and documenting support for accounting conclusions
- Provide direct support to external auditors during walkthroughs, testing of controls, and substantive testing
- Ability to work independently with close attention to detail
