Practice Info
- Hospital-based adult critical care practice at UPMC Hamot, a 458-bed hospital and Level II Trauma Center
- Coverage to include Medical, Cardiovascular, Trauma, Surgical, and Neuro ICU beds
- 64-bed critical care tower equipped with advanced technology
- All ICUs are Beacon Units (Silver and gold)
- Comprehensive Cardiac Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center
- Opportunity to teach emergency medicine and neurology residents
Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced, team-based care to critically ill patients
- Utilize point of care ultrasound, videolaryngoscopy, bedside bronchoscopy, and easy access to prone positioning
- Initiate ECMO followed by transfer to quaternary center

Requirements
- MD/DO from an accredited medical school
- Accredited Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine Residency Program completion
- Accredited Critical Care Fellowship Program completion
- American Board Eligible or American Board Certified in Critical Care Medicine
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania Medical License and ability to obtain necessary credentials
- DEA certification
- Accepts J1 Waiver and H-1B Candidates for 2028 and beyond
