Install SupervisorThe Install Supervisor is responsible for leading and optimizing installation operations across multiple teams and job sites, ensuring alignment between planning, scheduling, and field execution. This role serves as the primary escalation point for complex issues while maintaining a strong on-site presence to ensure high-quality customer experience and adherence to safety and installation standards. The position drives consistency, craftsmanship, and operational excellence by enforcing best practices and reducing rework and variability across projects.
Through close collaboration with cross-functional teams, the supervisor bridges strategy and execution, translating field insights into process improvements and enhanced labor planning. Additionally, the role focuses on developing and coaching field teams, fostering accountability, and building high-performing culture centered on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesRegional Field Operations LeadershipLead and oversee installation operations across multiple teams and job sites within the regionEnsure alignment between quoting assumptions, scheduling plans, and field executionAct as escalation point for complex field issues, customer concerns, and execution challengesConduct field audits to ensure adherence to installation standards, safety protocols, and job site expectationsEnsure field teams are properly equipped, trained, and prepared for assigned workReview daily installation schedules to confirm scope, timelines, and resource needsServe as the primary on-site customer contact, ensuring high-quality installation experienceLead and direct install crews, providing clear guidance and on-site problem resolutionExecute work in accordance with defined scope, escalating discrepancies between plan and field conditionsRead and interpret blueprints, including layouts, panel systems, and configurationsDocument punch list items and field issues in CORE and drive timely resolutionCoordinate with other trades to prevent delays and job site conflictsComplete required documentation (MOSS signoffs, completion photos, damage reports)Maintain job site organization, including truck readiness, cleanup, and material controlInstallation Excellence & StandardizationEnforce installation best practicesDrive consistency in execution to reduce rework, punch list items, and variabilityPartner with Regional Install Managers and Install Supervisors to reinforce quality expectations and craftsmanship standardsSupport adoption of new products, systems, and installation methodsContinuous Improvement & Operational AlignmentAnalyze performance metrics including quality, efficiency, rework, and labor performancePartner with Quoting and Scheduling teams to refine labor models and improve execution accuracyTranslate field insights into process improvements, training enhancements, and operational changesIdentify recurring issues and implement scalable solutions across teamsDrive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellenceCross-Functional CollaborationPartner closely with: Quoting (labor assumptions, complexity alignment)Scheduling (proper crew skill alignment and resource planning)Design & Project Management (scope clarity and field issue resolution)Ensure strong alignment between field capabilities and operational expectationsAct as the bridge between strategy, planning, and field executionLeadership & Team DevelopmentLead, coach, and develop Furniture InstallersEstablish clear performance expectations and accountability measuresConduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and development planningBuild a strong leadership pipeline within field teamsFoster a culture focused on teamwork, professionalism, and high performanceReview and approve timecards and PTO requestsAddress employee concerns and performance issues promptly and professionallyPerformance MetricsReduction in rework and punch list itemsImprovement in installation quality and consistencyAccuracy of labor vs. quoted expectationsInstaller productivity and efficiencyTraining effectiveness (skill progression and onboarding speed)Customer satisfaction and field experienceQualificationsTravel RequiredHigh school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred7+ years of furniture installation or field operations experience3+ years of leadership experience managing field teams or supervisorsDeep expertise in installation methods, systems furniture, and field best practicesProven experience developing training programs and coaching field employeesStrong operational, analytical, and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and leadership abilitiesAbility to manage multiple teams, priorities, and job sites in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office and field/project management systemsEqual Employment OpportunityThe company is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
