Responsibilities

  • Perform network audits to evaluate capacity usage (bandwidth, space, power, etc.), identify unused devices, and review network trends to propose improvements.
  • Deploy agents to monitor networks using production tools and enrich existing data; deploy dashboards to visualize KPIs from audits.
  • Support various tasks via internal ticketing systems, including USB tethering scenarios, remote rendering, PoC deployments, and testing alternatives.
  • Assist with the implementation of NetGram workflows and automation; coordinate integration activities with other internal tools and systems (e.g., test automation framework, AI/ML pipeline).
  • Drive software release management, testing, and validation, including release lifecycle management (node selection, use case definition, reporting, upgrade plans, feature tracking on Cisco Roadmap, and tracking security vulnerabilities).
  • Coordinate deployment in validation networks (validation chambers and WLCs) and deployment in the fleet.
  • Support design, deployment, and operation of large-scale networks; configure and troubleshoot routing and switching protocols (BGP, IS-IS, MPLS, RSVP-TE, VRRP); work with Optical Transport Networks (OTN).

Qualifications

  • Subject matter expertise in IP Networking/Routing & Switching (TCP/IP, IPv4/v6, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, MPLS) with relevant certifications (CCNA/CCNP, JNCIA/JNCIS, RHCSA or equivalent).
  • Experience with 100G/400G Ethernet and CWDM/DWDM optical transport technologies; hands-on network configuration and troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience with scripting and automation (Bash, Python, Perl, Ansible); familiarity with Linux-based systems; ability to automate deployment and configuration of network devices; version control concepts (internal systems similar to Git) for change management and rollback.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to troubleshoot complex issues and perform root-cause analysis; experience working in multi-vendor environments with networking hardware.
  • Experience in release lifecycle management, software development practices, and CI/CD.
  • Ability to design, deploy, and operate large-scale networks.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
