About the Role
As an Infection Control Nurse, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing infection control policies and procedures
- Conducting regular surveillance and monitoring of hospital-acquired infections
- Identifying and investigating potential infection control breaches
- Collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure compliance with infection control guidelines
- Providing education and training on infection control best practices to staff
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain infection control policies, procedures, and standards
- Conduct regular infection control audits and inspections
- Identify and report potential infection control risks and incidents
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement infection control plans
- Provide education and training to staff on infection control best practices
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) with current licensure in the state of Kansas
- Experience in infection control and/or nursing leadership
- Strong knowledge of infection control principles and guidelines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
