HVAC Lead TechnicianThe City of Topeka is seeking a skilled HVAC professional to work as a lead technician in the facility operations division. This incumbent is responsible for planning, directing and performing a variety of work to ensure the adequate and efficient operation of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems city-wide.What you'll do:Perform maintenance, modifications and repairs to a variety of HVAC systems city-wide.Administer HVAC service contracts and work performed by contractors.Serve as a lead worker and technical expert on HVAC maintenance, including training others in routine HVAC preventative tasks and safe work practicesMaintain records, collect, compile and analyze data, and prepare reports as required.Perform electrical and circuitry repairs as needed.Minimum Qualifications:Graduation from high school or GED equivalent is required.Graduation from an accredited vocational school with specialized training in air conditioning or closely related field, is required.Must be a licensed refrigerant recovery system technicianMust have three years of experience in the care and maintenance of HVAC systems with experience in maintaining commercial / industrial electrical and plumbing systems.Must have and maintain a valid Kansas driver's license and meet the City's insurability requirements.
