Hospitalist Nocturnist

Practice Info

• Team of 22 physicians and 10 advanced practitioners
• Full subspecialty support
• Clinical performance nurses assist in providing patient care
• Sound's teams also cover the Critical Care Unit and Emergency Room
• Work in Meditech Expand, a web-based system with access to an internal informatics platform

Responsibilities

• Perform admissions, splitting responsibility with an APP
• Play a pivotal role in the rapid response team
• Attend weekly huddles and monthly team meetings
• Participate in lunch-and-learn sessions to stay current on medical developments

Compensation

• The base salary for a full-time nocturnist is $319,000, with opportunities for performance-based bonuses and growth
• Additional compensation is paid for shifts worked above full-time commitment

Shift & Schedule

• Full-time position follows a 7-day-on, 7-day-off rotation
• The nocturnist position is 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Requirements

• Board-certified in internal medicine or family medicine
• Hospitalist experience required
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Comfortable with a nocturnal schedule
• Ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours
• Certified in basic life support and advanced cardiovascular life support
