Hospital Communications Representatives / Telecom Dispatchers$5,000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible new employees joining UW MedicineUW Medicine Telecom has an outstanding opportunity for Hospital Communications Representatives / Telecom Dispatchers.WORK SCHEDULES AVAILABLEFull-time, 100% FTE, Day ShiftFull-time, 100% FTE, Evening ShiftPart-time, Temporary/Hourly, Variable/Rotating ShiftsPOSITION HIGHLIGHTSBringing a friendly voice to connect callers to their destination is an important part of the patient and family centered care provided at the University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC) and Harborview Medical Center (HMC)Provide prompt courteous service using your excellent communications skills with internal and external customersBe a part of a team dedicated to supporting UW Medicine where Patients Are FirstDEPARTMENT DESCRIPTIONUW Medicine Telecom Team provides 24/7 coverage answering the UWMC and HMC switchboardsOur team values excellent customer service, timely response, accurate dispatch and paging, and courteous processing of callsWe receive and route calls for our patients, their families, and staffPRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIESAnswer all incoming calls into the main telephone numbers for the medical centersTransfer external and internal callsProvide visitor information and general customer service receptionReceive and dispatch all emergency communication calls to include trauma codes, code blue, and other medical emergenciesPaging services for patients, staff, and medical providersMonitor and respond to alarmsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma, or GED Certificate; AND one year of experience as a Telephone Communications Operator, or equivalent.
