Hospice Executive DirectorExceptional hospice care begins with exceptional leadership. Our confidential client is seeking an experienced Hospice Executive Director to lead the organization in delivering compassionate, high-quality end-of-life care while driving operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and strategic growth. This executive leadership role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hospice, developing high-performing teams, strengthening community partnerships, and ensuring the organization continues to fulfill its mission of providing dignified, patient-centered care.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a proven hospice leader who is passionate about developing people, improving organizational performance, and making a lasting impact on patients, families, and the community.The Hospice Executive Director provides overall leadership and operational oversight for the hospice organization, ensuring excellence in patient care, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and employee engagement. Working closely with clinical leadership and key stakeholders, the Executive Director will establish strategic priorities, develop organizational initiatives, oversee daily operations, and cultivate a culture of accountability, compassion, and continuous improvement. The Executive Director serves as the organization's primary operational leader while maintaining strong relationships with referral partners, physicians, healthcare providers, community organizations, and regulatory agencies.Key responsibilities include providing visionary leadership that supports the organization's mission, values, and long-term strategic objectives; directing the day-to-day operations of the hospice, ensuring exceptional patient care and operational excellence; developing and implementing organizational policies and procedures that ensure compliance with federal, state, Medicare, and accreditation standards, including JCAHO requirements; overseeing budgeting, financial performance, resource allocation, and operational planning to ensure organizational sustainability; leading, mentoring, and developing interdisciplinary leadership and staff while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth; driving performance improvement initiatives that enhance quality outcomes, operational efficiency, and patient satisfaction; partnering with the Board of Directors and senior leadership to establish strategic goals and support organizational growth; building and maintaining strong relationships with physicians, hospitals, referral sources, community partners, and regulatory agencies; monitoring industry trends, healthcare regulations, and market conditions to proactively position the organization for continued success; and promoting a culture centered on compassion, integrity, excellence, and service.The successful candidate will possess three to five years of progressive hospice leadership experience; strong operational and financial management expertise; comprehensive knowledge of hospice regulations, accreditation standards, and healthcare compliance requirements; demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams and developing high-performing leaders; excellent strategic planning, organizational, and decision-making skills; outstanding communication and relationship-building abilities; strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive operational improvements; a collaborative leadership style with the ability to inspire teams and foster a positive workplace culture; and commitment to delivering exceptional patient care while achieving organizational goals.Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred; minimum of three to five years of hospice healthcare management experience; demonstrated leadership experience within a hospice organization; thorough knowledge of JCAHO standards, Medicare regulations, and healthcare compliance requirements; strong financial management and operational leadership experience; excellent verbal and written communication skills; and ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced, mission-driven healthcare environment.Benefits include medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, company-paid life insurance, and paid time off (PTO).
