Heavy Equipment Operator
HCS Construction is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator! The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for safely operating heavy equipment to place and install underground telecom facilities. Responsibilities:
- Operate chain trencher, directional drill, plow, backhoe, dozer, rock saw, and tractor trailer safely and efficiently.
- Ensure team properly potholes for other utilities to ensure there no conflicts with the drill path
- Fill water tanks with water.
- Know and understand the location of underground utilities at all times to avoid striking or damaging them
- Before work is started, ensure all utilities have been located and develop a plan for going above or below each utility or obstacle in the drill path.
- Pull back the product with the correct hole opener and utilize the correct mud mixture to ensure that the product makes it from point A to point B.
- Inspect and maintain job equipment.
- Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license
- Pre-Employment Screening
- Relevant Telecom/Utilities Experience 2+ years
- MUST have or be able to obtain CDL Class A license
