You will lead the design, development, implementation, and toolchain of a high-performance compiler stack for our proprietary RISC-V GPU architecture. You'll be responsible for the GPU execution environment and transforming shader IR code into highly optimized machine code.What You'll Do:Lead the development of the LLVM-based compiler backend for a RISC-V vector execution environment transforming shader IR code into highly optimized machine codeLead the development of the GPU execution environmentLead an internal team of compiler engineers and coordinate with partners and external contributorsDesign optimization passes for parallel vector workloads and proprietary intrinsicsCollaborate with hardware architects to optimize performance and efficiencyCoordinate with the GPU Driver team to communicate with the host through PCIe or on-board shared memoryDevelop host-side GPU emulation and evaluation environmentsDevelop a toolchain for development, optimization, and debuggingQualifications:8+ years industry experience with GPU compilersBachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fieldDeep understanding of GPU architectures and toolchainsDeep understanding of parallel programming languages for GPUsDeep understanding of compiler operationDeep understanding of computer architecture and microarchitecture, including memory hierarchy, instruction flow, vectorization, and other modern processorsStrong proficiency with C++ and assemblyExperience with code analysis, IR (LLVM, MLIR, ISPC), and LLVM and GCC internalsDemonstrated ability to ship high-quality production softwareExperience with technical leadershipPreferred Qualifications:Understanding and experience with RISC-V and vector processorsExperience implementing an RTOS environmentExperience with PCIe bus communicationsExperience co-designing hardware architecturesUnderstanding of path and ray tracingCompensation Range: $175,000–$250,000 per year (California).
