Google Apigee - Technical ArchitectEmployment Type: Full-Time Location: Seattle, WAMust Have Technical/Functional Skills15+ years of IT experience with at least 5+ years in API management and integration architecture.Strong hands-on expertise in Google Apigee (Edge, Hybrid, or X) platform setup, design, and administration.Deep understanding of API design principles (REST, SOAP, GraphQL), microservices, and event-driven architecture.Expertise in security standards – OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, TLS, API Keys, threat protection.Knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP preferred, AWS/Azure is a plus).Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).Roles & ResponsibilitiesDefine and implement API management strategy leveraging Google Apigee (Edge/Hybrid/X).Architect API proxies, policies, and security frameworks including OAuth 2.0, JWT, and SAML.Lead API lifecycle management: design, governance, deployment, versioning, and retirement.Develop and enforce API governance models, best practices, and reusable frameworks.Collaborate with product owners, developers, and business stakeholders to design API-first integration strategies.Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of API platforms across hybrid/multi-cloud environments.Provide leadership and mentorship to development teams in API design, microservices integration, and CI/CD practices.Evaluate new technologies, industry trends, and recommend improvements to API platforms.Troubleshoot performance issues, optimize APIs, and ensure robust monitoring using tools like Apigee Analytics, Stackdriver, or equivalent.Work with security teams to ensure compliance with enterprise security policies and regulatory standards.Generic Managerial Skills, If AnyExcellent stakeholder management, and communication skills.Strong problem-solving, risk management, and decision-making abilities.
