GIS Lab Coordinator (Temporary Position)Lindenwood University is seeking a GIS Lab Coordinator to support student research, manage geospatial technology, and contribute to Remote Sensing and GeoAI initiatives. This is a temporary, full-time, grant-funded position that will begin immediately and continue through December 2026, with the possibility of renewal contingent upon continued grant funding.Key ResponsibilitiesMentors and supports student researchers; coordinate with faculty and external partnersDeploys and maintains GIS technologies across courses; troubleshoot issuesSupports use of Esri tools (ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, Survey123, Experience Builder, Dashboards, Story Maps)Utilizes advanced remote sensing tools (e.g., ENVI) and geospatial coding (Python, Arcade, Jupyter)Oversees Remote Sensing and GeoAI research activitiesTests, deploys, and trains others on new learning modulesCompiles research data and prepare content for project reportsJob may require other duties as assignedRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree requiredA minimum of 1 year relevant professional experienceKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesTechnical troubleshooting skills for hardware and softwareGood decision making, interpersonal, and customer service skillsFriendly, helpful, and assertive dispositionKnowledge and understanding of college organization, goals and objectives, and policies and proceduresAbility to work well in a fast-paced educational environment with diverse students, faculty, and staffAbility to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks simultaneouslyWork EnvironmentFlexible schedule including evening and weekend assignmentsNon-Standard FlexPhysical AbilitiesAbility to work effectively at a computer for extended time dailyAbility to sit/stand for extended periods of timeAbility to lift/carry items commonly found in an office setting including, but not limited to, documents, laptops, keyboards, etc.Ability to use repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements to type regularlyRegular attendance is a necessary and essential functionEqual Opportunity EmployerLindenwood University is an Equal Opportunity employer.
