GIS AnalystPermian Resources (NYSE: PR) is seeking a GIS Analyst in Midland, TX, reporting to the Facilities Manager. This role serves as the primary spatial data resource for the Facilities team, responsible for building, maintaining, and continuously improving GIS data and tools that support oil and gas infrastructure management across operated assets in the Permian Basin.General ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain all GIS files (shapefiles, KMZs, and enterprise geodatabase layers) for company-owned and third-party infrastructure including CTBs, flowlines, powerlines, midstream pipelines and connections, SWDs, compression, and metering facilities; keep data current and accessible to all end usersAudit, clean, and standardize all existing GIS data and establish and enforce standards for all future projectsMaintain accurate records of all infrastructure acquired or divested, ensuring the GIS reflects current asset ownership at all timesEnsure GIS data remains aligned with the Master Well Header, Databricks, and other enterprise systems, serving as the spatial layer of record across the organizationProduce physical and digital maps for the Facilities team covering infrastructure layout, route planning, field operations, and project planningPrepare public notice mapping packages for all new pipelines as requiredSupport ad hoc mapping and spatial analysis requests from Production Operations, primarily related to infrastructure planning, project scoping, and field logisticsMaintain TX811 and NM811 pipeline data submittals, ensuring new assets are registered in a timely manner and existing records remain accurateClean, categorize, and maintain regulated pipeline data to ensure ongoing PHMSA and DOT compliancePrepare and submit T4 filings, CI-D/CI-X submittals, and supporting documentation for insurance purposesAssist the Facilities team in planning future pipeline and powerline routes, using spatial analysis to identify potential conflicts with existing infrastructure, lease boundaries, environmental features, and third-party assetsSupport environmental data requests and assist with spatial tracking of emissions monitoring, including spill and air event logging, trend analysis, and identification of risk areas or surveillance gapsDevelop GIS-based analytics tools and dashboards to support operational intelligence, including infrastructure bottleneck identification, failure hotspot mapping, high-maintenance area tracking, production trend visualization, and emissions risk layeringSupport the buildout of Control Room surveillance visualizations, including spatial mapping of alarms, flaring events, and real-time operational statusAssist in developing advanced field optimization tools, including route optimization, pump-by-exception workflows, and field tech work planning, in collaboration with data and engineering teamsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Geoscience, Engineering, or a related technical field3–5 years of professional GIS experience; prior experience in oil and gas, energy, or pipeline infrastructure strongly preferredProficiency in Esri ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online; experience with enterprise geodatabasesHands-on experience with oil and gas infrastructure datasets including pipelines, facilities, and production assetsWorking knowledge of TX811/NM811 submittal processes and pipeline regulatory frameworks (PHMSA, DOT)Strong data quality instincts with demonstrated experience auditing, cleaning, and standardizing spatial datasetsAbility to manage multiple priorities and respond to ad hoc requests in a fast-paced operational environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience integrating GIS with enterprise data systems such as Databricks, Master Well Headers, or similar platformsFamiliarity with PHMSA/DOT compliance documentation and T4 or CI-D/CI-X submittal processesExposure to data analytics, dashboard development (Power BI, Spotfire, or similar), or spatial tool developmentGISP certification or active pursuit of certificationKnowledge of Permian Basin operations and West Texas/Southeast New Mexico regulatory landscapePermian Resource is an equal opportunity employer.
