Job Summary A General Manager is needed for a civil works organization in South Bend, IN. The GM will take P&L ownership and drive commercial growth. The GM will oversee commercial strategy, financial performance, and back-office modernization while transitioning legacy operations into a scalable enterprise.

Candidates must possess 7 years of heavy civil, site-prep, or underground utility estimating and project management experience . Direct proficiency with industry estimating platforms and a track record of operational systemization are required. Commercial acumen, ownership, and the ability to manage financial reporting are essential. This is a direct-hire role, and relocation is available for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver P&L performance to drive in top-line revenue
  • Design, build, and operate a high-throughput and visual sales pipeline
  • Lead back-office digital transformation by deploying modern CRM, ERP, and tracking workflows
  • Serve as the primary commercial face of the company
  • Standardized corporate SOPs while providing precise job-costing data
