Description of Position – The General Manager will be responsible for managing and leading the business operations of TEC Equipment Company.   Organizational Relationships – The General Manager reports directly to the Evans Family Board. Normal inside contacts will include all employees of TEC front office, shop, and field, corporate support, and Integrated Services Team. Outside contacts will include existing and prospective clients, customers, and other related industry contacts.   Ensure safety, quality control, and environmental protection programs are followed throughout all aspects of the business; Manage overall branch operations to ensure productivity, customer service, and profitability.

Oversee all safety matters, including audits, safety training, OSHA compliance, DOT regulations, and screening according to compliance standards.

Lead and direct hiring activities in cooperation with Human Resources by diagnosing the needs of the company according to goals and projections and helping to identify the necessary talent; Oversee and enforce appropriate new hire training programs and practices. Manage personnel matters.

Deliver excellent customer service and demonstrate high level communication skills; Education and Certification – Associates or bachelor's degree in business administration or other related fields; Industrial, vocational, or mechanical training is a plus. Recommended Work Experiences – Minimum of 5 years of successful managerial experience with profit and loss responsibility at a branch or other profit center, preferably an equipment rental and dealership; Working Conditions – Considerable local and non-local travel may be required;
