Brief Job Overview

The General Manager, Dietary Supplement Verification is a senior leadership role that leads the transformation, relaunch, and growth of USP’s Dietary Supplement Verification Program (DSVP). This multimillion‑dollar global business serves leading manufacturers, retailers, and industry stakeholders. The role is highly external‑facing and accountable for commercial repositioning, customer engagement, and market expansion, ensuring the program remains a trusted, premium verification standard.

Responsibilities

• Lead an existing commercial team, including sales/business development and marketing resources
• Drive customer engagement, pipeline development, and relaunch execution
• Leverage internal strategy and transformation support to advance cross‑functional initiatives, program redesign, pricing evolution, and operational improvements
• Partner closely with Verification Operations and Marketing leadership across a matrixed environment
• Scale team structure and capabilities in line with business growth and investment plans
• Strengthen consumer trust in a complex dietary supplement marketplace
• Expand access to trusted verification for consumers
• Maintain USP’s status as a premium, independent standard
• Support public health through improved product transparency
• Lead external positioning and relaunch of DSVP
• Drive pricing, value proposition, and competitiveness
• Serve as primary external representative with customers and industry
• Partner with Verification Operations on program evolution aligned to market needs
• Collaborate with Industry Programs and Marketing leadership
• Execute growth strategy across a global customer base
• Deliver outcomes aligned with the investment program

Qualifications

• 10+ years of leadership/management experience
• 10+ years of experience in dietary supplements or related industries, certification, or quality programs
• Understanding of manufacturing and quality systems
• Strong external‑facing leadership track record
• Experience in premium brand or B2C‑influenced environments (desired)
• Entrepreneurial builder mindset
• Externally credible leader
• Commercially sharp with customer focus
• Effective in matrixed global organizations
• Steward of premium, trusted brand (desired)

Compensation

Base Salary Range: USD $208,000 – $286,000 annually.

Target Annual Bonus: varies based on role level.
