Role Description

The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all hotel operations at Hyatt Place Bayamón in a full-time, on-site capacity. This role manages day-to-day activities including front desk operations, housekeeping, food and beverage services, and maintenance to ensure a high standard of guest satisfaction and brand consistency. The General Manager leads, trains, and mentors team members, sets performance expectations, and promotes a collaborative, service-focused culture. They monitor financial performance, manage budgets, and oversee revenue and cost controls to achieve profitability targets. The role also includes ensuring compliance with safety, security, and brand standards, managing vendor relationships, addressing guest feedback, and representing the hotel in the local community.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in hotel or hospitality management, ideally in a limited- or select-service hotel environment.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities, including staff development, performance coaching, and conflict resolution.
• Solid financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, revenue management, and cost control.
• Excellent guest service orientation with strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple operational priorities, maintain attention to detail, and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Knowledge of hotel operations systems and basic proficiency with office software; familiarity with property management systems is preferred.
• Flexibility to work varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience considered. MBA degree preferred.
