Part-Time Dentist Job Opportunity Description
School Smiles On-Site Dental is currently seeking a Part‑Time General Dentist to join our growing MI team. This position is 1‑2 days per week, scheduled to start in the fall of 2026. Approximate hours are from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. The role is based in the Detroit, MI area and involves providing portable dental services to children at local schools throughout the region. All supplies, equipment, and support staff are provided. This general dentist opportunity is a low‑stress, non‑private‑practice setting that allows you to give back to an underserved population while enjoying a healthy work/life balance.
Compensation & Perks

Job Duties
- Conduct initial screenings
- Conduct comprehensive oral exams
- Establish treatment plans
- Provide fluoride treatments
- Place sealants
- Perform prophylaxis
- Place fillings
- Conduct simple extractions
Qualifications
- Proficiency in all of the above dental procedures
- Current Michigan Dental License
- Medicaid certification or willingness to become certified
- Willingness to travel within a 2‑hour radius
