Flexible Scheduling Model

Rather than requiring the same schedule every week, the physician may work through flexible clinical blocks, such as:

• Clinic-focused weeks combining consultations and follow-up care
• Procedure-heavy weeks with dedicated endoscopy blocks
• Rotating inpatient consultation coverage
• Protected administrative and documentation time
• Opportunities to shape the practice around procedural interests

Scope of Practice

• Adult general gastroenterology
• Diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy
• Colonoscopy and upper endoscopy
• Inflammatory bowel disease
• Hepatology
• Gastrointestinal bleeding
• Gastrointestinal malignancies
• Pancreaticobiliary disorders
• Inpatient consultations
• Longitudinal outpatient management

Candidate Requirements

• MD or DO
• Internal Medicine residency
• Gastroenterology fellowship
• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Eligible for Texas medical licensure
• Strong clinical and procedural judgment
• Ability to collaborate across inpatient and outpatient teams
• Practicing gastroenterologists and graduating fellows considered
• 2027 and 2028 candidates welcomed

ERCP experience is appreciated but is not required for consideration.
