Client: Food Manufacturing Company
Location: Memphis, TN 38108
Duration: 3 Months (Possibility of Extension)
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday - Friday | 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Position Overview
The Forklift Operator will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and related equipment to move, stack, and organize 50 lb bags of product throughout the warehouse. This role involves both equipment operation and manual material handling in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, tow tractors, and related equipment for receiving, staging, and shipping products.
• Lift, weigh, stack, and move 50 lb bags of product (approximately 75% of the shift).
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment in compliance with company and safety standards.
• Follow all safety rules, HACCP requirements, and quality procedures.
• Conduct pre-operation equipment checks and report any maintenance needs.
• Assist with weighing, labeling, and documenting shipments.
• Perform general warehouse tasks such as climbing, carrying, bending, and pushing as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior forklift operation experience required; valid certification preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to safety and housekeeping.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environment.

• This is an on-site position in a food-grade facility.
