Forklift Operator IThe Forklift Operator I is responsible for operating material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise within the warehouse. The Operator ensures the safe and efficient use of forklifts and may also perform order filler or order checker duties as needed, while maintaining productivity, accuracy, and adherence to safety procedures.ResponsibilitiesOperates all material handling equipment safely and efficiently, following established work practices and safety proceduresPossesses basic understanding of equipment safety and adheres to all safety protocolsCompletes and documents required pre-operation inspection forms for equipmentStacks and stores merchandise in designated areas using forklift, clamp, or push-pull equipmentUnloads inbound shipments safely and moves product to storage locationsPulls and prepares products for shipment in accordance with customer and operational requirementsVerifies that the correct quantity and product type are loaded and shippedPerforms order picking in an accurate, timely, and customer-service-focused mannerMoves product from staging or storage areas into trailers for outbound loadsMaintains required documentation and reports to support inventory accuracy and product securityAssists with physical inventory counts and periodic cycle counts as directedEnsures inventory is rotated in accordance with company standardsIdentifies and reports inventory discrepancies to the inventory control team and participates in resolutionUses RF scanning devices to support accurate inventory managementReports safety concerns, hazards, or incidents to management promptlyDemonstrates basic Excel skills and general computer proficiency to complete required tasksPerforms other duties and responsibilities as required by the role and determined by managementQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED preferredPreferred 6 months of forklift operation experience and/or experience using warehouse distribution equipmentMust qualify and pass NFI forklift certificationStrong attention to detail and accuracyEffective customer service skills and basic math competenciesWe are excited to share the base hourly rate for this position is $20.00/HOUR.
