Forklift Operator
PrideStaff is seeking a dependable, safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating industrial forklift trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count materials within a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate order fulfillment, inventory management, and safe material handling.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down, stand-up, or reach-truck forklifts to load and unload trucks, container shipments, and storage racks.
- Transport raw materials, valves, fittings, and finished products to designated storage or production areas using inventory scanning systems.
- Inspect incoming cargo for damage, verify shipment manifests against physical counts, and prepare outgoing shipments according to customer specifications.
- Retrieve products from warehouse shelving to assemble, palletize, wrap, and stage orders for delivery or shipment.
- Conduct daily pre-operational equipment inspections on assigned forklifts; log maintenance needs and adhere strictly to OSHA and company safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area, assisting with general floor cleaning and trash disposal as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 1–2 years of continuous forklift operation experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse environment.
- Active Forklift Operator Certification (Sit-Down/Stand-Up) preferred (or ability to pass PrideStaff/site re-certification).
- Basic computer skills and experience using handheld RF scanners or warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted, bend, reach, squat, and stand or sit for extended periods during an 8- to 10-hour shift.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong attention to detail, excellent punctuality, and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
Work Environment
- Warehouse environment subject to seasonal temperature fluctuations, moderate noise levels, and active equipment traffic.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $17.00
