Forklift Driver
Evans Distribution Systems, one of the area's leading logistics providers is looking for experienced Afternoon Forklift Driver for its growing Division in Detroit, MI.
Description
- Unload inbound shipments safely and move product as needed.
- Efficiently stack and store merchandise in the appropriate area
- Check or count freight for accuracy and/or damage.
- Prepare necessary paperwork and submit it to operations manager.
- Frequent & repetitive lifting using both hands/arms for items weighing.
- The Lifting frequency may be more than 100 repetitions per-shift.
- Frequent bending and twisting at waist/knees/neck while off-loading
- Help maintain cleanliness of warehouse and building grounds.
- Handle customer products with integrity
- Perform all duties in conformance with appropriate safety and security standards.
- Assist in warehousing operations as needed, and all other miscellaneous duties as requested by supervisor.
- Maintain the facility's equipment and materials with integrity in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
- Responsible for awareness and compliance with warehouse work rules and company policies
- Lift using proper safety methods provided by the company.
Requirements
- High school degree/GED
- 3 years' experience driving a Forklift is a must.
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment testing (including background check and drug test)
Details & Location
- Position is located on the Eastside of Detroit, MI.
- Shift available 7am to 3:30pm flexible to work overtime and weekends.
- Starting wage: $16.00/hour
