Financial Reporting AccountantStep into a high-impact role where your public accounting experience and technical expertise truly make a difference. As an Accountant on Entergy's External Reporting team, you'll take the lead on complex, high-visibility financial reporting that shapes how we communicate with regulators, investors, and key stakeholders. In this role, you will drive the preparation of SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q) and play a pivotal part in other external reporting requirements, including FERC reporting, benefits reporting, and specialized regulatory filings.
You'll apply your technical accounting knowledge to research and interpret evolving U.S. GAAP and SEC disclosure requirements, ensuring our reporting remains accurate and compliant.This position applies strong technical accounting and disclosure expertise to research complex SEC and U.S. GAAP issues, collaborates closely with external auditors, and contributes to enterprise-wide strategic initiatives from an External Reporting perspective.Job Duties/Responsibilities:Execute the preparation of high-quality SEC and external financial reports, including Forms 10-K/10-Q, FERC Form 1/3Q, and other regulatory filings.Research and interpret complex accounting and SEC reporting matters, staying ahead of evolving rule-makings and industry guidance.Prepare, analyze, and review complex financial statements, identifying key risks and ensuring full compliance with U.S.
GAAP and SEC disclosure requirements.Contribute to internal financial systems projects, evaluation of accounting and financial implications of strategic initiatives.Drive process improvements by championing automation, operational efficiency, and continuous enhancement of reporting quality.Partner closely with external auditors to resolve audit inquiries and support quarterly and annual reporting cycles.Support capital market and regulatory activities, including bond offerings, regulatory submissions, and preparation of carve-out financial statements for strategic transactions.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
