Field Service Engineer - Integrated Control System (ICS)An exciting opportunity has arisen as a Field Service Engineer - Integrated Control System (ICS). As a System Engineer for ICS, you would provide technical support on Automation Systems delivered by Kongsberg Maritime. This includes working with Power Management Systems, Fire & Gas Systems, Emergency Shutdown Systems, Custody Transfer Systems, Gas Management System, and other automation systems delivered by Kongsberg Maritime in an upgrade, modification, and after-sale capacity.Key Accountabilities:Service onboard vessels with KM SystemsTroubleshooting via Phone and Email support linesExecute service assignments as requested by the customerTimely and accurate completion of service reports, timesheets and expense reports following service assignments per Work OrderProduction and updates to As-Built Documentation and DrawingsDeveloping own qualifications through internal/external training coursesSupport sales and marketing with technical informationInterface with customer and internal engineering groupsWillingness to travel up to 50-70%Key Responsibilities:Provide preventative and corrective maintenance to Kongsberg control systemsRead and interpret drawings and controls system architectureUse of a multimeter/SW tools for troubleshooting communication or loop errorsUnderstanding of Power Management Systems, generator, and governor control functionalityTroubleshoot and modify to HVAC and Fire & Gas control systems (Autronica)Able to add or modify control logicFamiliar with communication protocols (profibus, TCP/IP, modbus, etc)Complete and submit timesheets and expenses in a timely fashionOwnership over assigned cases and/or service tripsSuggest improvements to our products and report needs to Service Manager or product departmentProactively suggest to customers available upgrades/new products while onboardCarry out actions to prevent errors within our delivery and after sales deliveriesSupport Key Support Managers with aftersales quotationsBasic Qualifications:Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Electromechanical, or Computer Engineering or equivalent industry/military trainingKnowledge of general Electrical/Electronic control system concepts such as PID controllers, filters, communication protocols.Ability to produce and interpret technical documentationAbility to troubleshoot low voltage electrical components, use of multimeters, etc.Experience with PLC / SCADA systems and their architecture is highly desiredCustomer service orientedAble to work under pressureGood communication skills and fluent in EnglishWork location: New Orleans, LAWhat we can offer you:Competitive compensation packagesFully subsidized health & welfare benefits with an option of a high deductible plan which includes an employer contribution towards your health savings accountFully subsidized dental and vision coverageUp to 5% employer match programFlexibility with Paid Time OffCareer growth opportunitiesSafe and collaborative cultureKongsberg Maritime is a technology pioneer, enabling a more sustainable future for our oceans.
