This is an outstanding opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys working with high-net-worth families, trusts, and estates while serving as a trusted advisor alongside wealth managers, trust officers, attorneys, and financial planners.

Unlike traditional public accounting roles, this position offers the opportunity to work on complex fiduciary tax matters while enjoying a predictable schedule, exceptional work-life balance, and the resources of a well-established banking organization.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

  • Meaningful work advising high-net-worth families and fiduciary clients
  • Excellent work-life balance with hybrid flexibility
  • Competitive compensation and bonus
  • Collaborative, relationship-driven culture
  • Exposure to sophisticated trust and estate planning
  • Opportunity to partner directly with Wealth Management leadership
  • Stable, long-term career path within a respected financial institution

The Role

The Fiduciary Tax Manager will oversee the preparation, review, and coordination of fiduciary tax matters for a diverse portfolio of trusts, estates, and high-net-worth client relationships.

This individual will work closely with Trust Officers, Wealth Advisors, Investment Professionals, attorneys, and external CPAs to ensure accurate tax reporting while identifying planning opportunities that add value to clients.

The ideal candidate enjoys combining technical tax expertise with client service and relationship management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and oversee preparation of federal and state fiduciary income tax returns (Form 1041)
  • Manage tax compliance for trusts, estates, and fiduciary accounts
  • Partner with Trust Officers and Wealth Advisors to support client relationships
  • Identify fiduciary, trust, and estate tax planning opportunities

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements

What They're Looking For

  • Public accounting, trust company, bank, or family office tax experience
  • Strong background in fiduciary taxation and trust & estate administration
  • Experience preparing or reviewing Form 1041 returns
  • Knowledge of estate, gift, and fiduciary income tax principles
  • CPA preferred (or CPA-track)
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders

Who Will Thrive Here

This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys complex tax work but is looking for a career outside the traditional public accounting model. If you want to continue working with sophisticated fiduciary clients while gaining greater work‑life balance, stronger collaboration, and a long‑term leadership path, this role offers the best of both worlds.

The Culture

This organization has built a reputation for putting both clients and employees first. The Wealth Management team values professionalism, collaboration, and thoughtful client service, creating an environment where people are encouraged to build lasting careers.

Leadership is approachable, teamwork is genuinely valued, and professionals are trusted to take ownership of their work while maintaining a healthy balance between career and personal life.

  • I think this will resonate with experienced fiduciary tax professionals because it emphasizes what often motivates them: interesting trust and estate work, high-net-worth client exposure, and a more sustainable lifestyle than many public accounting firms can offer. It positions the banking environment as an upgrade rather than simply a different employer.
