Family Recruited Employee (FRE) ProgramPPCH's Family Recruited Employee (FRE) Program allows families and individuals to recruit those they know and trust to work with their loved one on the SLS waiver. PPCH will hire, employ, and pay the FRE. FREs must be at least 18 years old, eligible to work in the United States, meet PPCH background requirements, and complete the training necessary for the position.Personal Care FREs enhance the quality of life of a person with intellectual or developmental disabilities by supporting the person with daily tasks such as physical hygiene, eating, money management, and exercise.Essential Duties:Provides support with activities of daily living as identified in the person's Service Plan.Works to ensure that individuals receiving services are healthy, safe, and valued by others.Complies with PPCH, State, Federal, and other applicable guidelines and regulations.Maintains respectful and professional relationships with individuals receiving services, staff, guardians, family members, and team members.QualificationsEducation and TrainingRequired training will be provided and must be successfully completed.ExperienceNo experience necessaryKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to effectively use a computer, email, and Microsoft OfficeEffective written and verbal communication skillsAbility and willingness to complete required trainings and learn PPCH operations and systemsValid Colorado driver's license, and ability to meet PPCH's driving requirements may be requiredPhysical Requirements and Working ConditionsFrequent lifting and carrying of approximately 25 lbsThis position may involve physically assisting others, including pushing/pulling individuals using wheelchairs, transferring individuals with mobility needs, and assistance with daily living skills such as toileting and personal hygieneThis position involves pushing, pulling, kneeling, and squattingThis position may involve using typical housekeeping tools such as a broom, mop, vacuum, and household cleanersWork is primarily conducted in private homesDriving throughout the Denver Metro area may be required on a regular basisParker Personal Care Homes, Inc.
