Family Medicine / Primary Care Physician
Presbyterian Medical Group is seeking an ACGME-trained Family Medicine Physician to join their established outpatient primary care practice in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. This part-time role (0.80 FTE) involves providing comprehensive medical care to patients with acute and chronic illnesses, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. The position emphasizes patient-centered care and offers a supportive environment focused on clinician well-being.
Practice Info
- Outpatient, primary care services
- Practice call in rotation with the group
- Patient Centered Medical Home
- Support team consisting of Behavioral Health Clinicians, Clinical Pharmacists, Advanced Practice Clinicians (NP/PA), RN & Medical Assistants
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients with acute and chronic illnesses
- Make professional medical judgments in the care of patients seen
- Order, conduct, and interpret appropriate diagnostic x-ray and lab tests
- Prescribe treatments, medications, and non-pharmacologic therapies
- Document all patient encounters and communications appropriately
- Manage the provider/patient relationship
- Receive and resolve patient complaints
- Involved in education and counseling of individuals, families, and groups

- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Family Medicine
- MD/DO
- State of New Mexico Medical License
- DEA & NM Controlled Substance Registration
