Position Overview

The Division of Pediatric Pulmonology & Sleep Medicine at the University of Minnesota is seeking a board‑certified/eligible Pediatric Pulmonologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank on an academic track.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical expertise in the care of children with congenital and acquired airway & lung disease, and in the control of breathing (apnea) in hospital and outpatient clinic settings.
• Train learners, including fellows, residents, and medical students.
• Complement existing clinical expertise in bronchoscopy, cystic fibrosis care, asthma, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary complications of childhood cancer therapies, pulmonary hypertension, sleep medicine, pulmonary manifestations of neuromuscular disorders, and exercise physiology.
• Develop clinical activities in an area of your choosing that adds another dimension of expertise to the Division.
• Collaborate with all areas of the Department involved in the care of children with congenital and acquired pulmonary disease and with HCMC.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited ACGME Pediatric Pulmonology residency and/or fellowship‑training program.
• Board eligible/certified.
• Licensed or ability to acquire a medical license and DEA in the State of Minnesota and meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
• Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of the VISA.

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise in asthma, particularly in minority populations, lower socioeconomic status, and persons of color.

Pay and Benefits

• The base salary range for this position is $190,600 – $301,200, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and cFTE.
• Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through M Physicians.
• The salary from the University is dependent upon the academic effort of the person hired.
