The Division of Hematology‑Oncology at the University of Minnesota is seeking a board‑certified/eligible Pediatric Benign Hematologist for an academic track position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.

Position Responsibilities

  • Perform inpatient and outpatient patient care at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital.
  • Participate in clinical research, develop and manage clinical trials and quality improvement initiatives, and publish findings in peer‑reviewed journals.
  • Engage in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Focus on complex coagulation disorders and general benign hematology; additional interests in pediatric oncology are encouraged.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited ACGME pediatric residency and completion of a fellowship in pediatric hematology‑oncology or pediatric neuro‑oncology.
  • Board certification or eligibility with the American Board of Pediatrics in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology or Neuro‑Oncology.
  • Licensed or ability to acquire a medical license and DEA in the State of Minnesota.
  • Meet threshold criteria for credentialing and privileges; ability to obtain and maintain U.S. work authorization.

Pay and Benefits

Dual employment by University of Minnesota Physicians and the University of Minnesota. Base salary range: $182,700–$392,000 (commensurate with experience, qualifications, and cFTE). Benefits include a substantial 401(k) employer contribution; well‑being program, CME and licensing allowances, malpractice insurance, and eligibility for Public Service Loan Forgiveness.
