Position Summary

Division of Hematology, Oncology & Transplantation at the University of Minnesota, in partnership with the Masonic Cancer Center, seeks a board certified or board eligible Malignant Hematologist. The position is available at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor on the Academic or Clinician Track (non‑tenure). The ideal candidate is a collaborative physician‑scientist, clinical investigator, or clinician‑educator who will deliver outstanding patient care and contribute to research across hematologic malignancies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding clinical care to patients with hematologic malignancies in inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Participate in and/or lead clinical, translational, or basic science research programs aligned with institutional priorities.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee investigator‑initiated and cooperative group clinical trials as appropriate.
  • Contribute to teaching and mentorship across undergraduate medical education, graduate medical education, and fellowship training.
  • Collaborate with division, department, and cancer center leadership to advance programmatic growth.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated excellence in clinical care of patients with benign hematologic disorders.
  • Strong teaching skills and enthusiasm for academic medicine.
  • Evidence of research productivity or interest in developing an academic focus (clinical, translational, or basic science).
  • Graduate of an accredited ACGME Internal Medicine residency and Hematology fellowship‑training program.
  • Board eligible or certified in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology.
  • Licensed or able to acquire a medical license and DEA in the State of Minnesota.
  • Ability to receive work authorization in the United States and maintain legal status per visa regulations.

  • Total salary is market competitive and based on AAMC salary benchmarks; base salary range $270,000–$465,407 CFE.
  • Clinical salary aligned with effort through M Physicians.
