Job Duties
nMead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is experiencing unprecedented growth. As a result, we have a full-time position available for an Experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join our Food & Beverage group. This opportunity would be available at one of the following office locations: St. Louis, MO; Denver, CO; Bloomington, MN; Madison or West Allis, WI.
nResponsibilities include:
nConducting job-site surveys
nCalculating refrigeration requirements for process cooling and building loads
nAssisting in the development of project documentation including: drawings, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's), equipment schedules, details, specifications, and scope of work
nSelecting and applying system equipment to new and existing systems
nCoordinating technical specifications, delivery requirements, and quotation parameters with outside equipment suppliers, subcontractors and clients.
nA valid driver's license and some travel (~20-30%) will be required.
nThe successful candidate must have:
nA bachelor's degree (or higher) in mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university AND at least six years of relevant experience.
nPE license is also strongly preferred.
nThe ideal candidate will have any/all the following:
nExperience with Ammonia refrigeration design
nExperience with food plant project design
nExperience with chilled water/hydronic design
nExperience developing P&IDs
nFamiliarity with managing project invoices
nExperience working directly with clients including marketing to obtain future work
nProficiency in Microsoft Office software
nExperience mentoring less experienced staff
nPhysical Requirements:
nThe employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

nSalary Range: $100,000 to $150,000 - Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set or location.
