Position Overview
Executive Producer – Company: Netflix
Location: Honolulu, USA
Salary: $20‑30 per hour (hourly rate) / $150,000‑$500,000 total compensation (depending on role and location).
Education: Bachelor's Degree.
Responsibilities
- Manage the company's live video game production from a manufacturing perspective, ensuring live producers meet production expectations, including roadmaps, dependencies, and launch of live updates.
- Collaborate with the Live Services Director of Product Control to ensure priorities are delivered and roadmaps are aligned.
- Identify and lead strategic initiatives across the portfolio to ensure the team and developers have the vision, framework, and priorities they need to succeed in live provider games.
- Collaborate with business development and creative teams to ensure we are making the right decisions for developers and partners, ensuring we remain on target to reap our overall approach.
- Define, develop, and refine the overall live game manufacturing process for the portfolio, such as pipelines and procedures, ensuring live manufacturers have everything they need.
- Manage a team of live producers, supporting them in their position as our external developer's number one point of contact for launch releases.
- Mentor, manage, and lead multiple live manufacturers, developing growth and opportunities for their fulfillment while maintaining a balanced production capacity.
- Assist live producers and PMs in budget control against personnel recreation updates and live game plans.
- Help clear complicated product challenges through ingenuity, creativity and alternative approaches necessary to get the activity achieved; perceive risks early and often and postpone roadblocks and overall performance bottlenecks as needed.
- Increase strong relationships with internal and external studios to establish and keep a flow of data so we are aligned on frameworks, games, opportunities and priorities.
- Work immediately with enterprise development on developer reviews when relevant and address manufacturing-associated issues and feedback to ensure developers are ready for achievement before signing.
- Work cross‑functionally to create a wholesome team culture primarily based on quality conversation, transparency, and shared context.
Qualifications
- Preceding government producer or live provider Operations Director experience with a game developer or writer.
- 4+ years of venture control experience, preferably from mobile gaming.
- 12+ years of experience in sports production with a background in transporting multiple video games (social, F2P, cellular, net, console, handheld).
- Experience in strategic planning and execution, especially launching/live offerings in gaming (console, PC, or cellular).
- Strong understanding of live provider production, challenges normally encountered by teams, and tailored solutions.
- Experience leading complex move‑practical initiatives with successful delivery of pleasure, agenda, and balanced scope, capacity, budget, risk, and timing.
- Ability to steer course without positional authority.
- Uncanny knack for arriving at solutions through unconventional strategies and growing a plan to implement them.
- Superb verbal communication skills and ability to paint with a wide range of people, effectively communicating from big picture to innovative ideas.
- Experience dealing with direct reviews with varying levels of production experience.
- Passion for video games, software innovation, and enhancing the player experience.
Compensation
Netflix offers a total compensation package that includes base salary, bonuses, and stock options. The overall market range for roles at this Netflix location is typically $150,000 – $500,000, based on total compensation (not just base salary). Compensation will be determined by market signals and takes into account your unique role, background, skills, and experience.
