Sanford Health is seeking a BC/BE full-time Epileptologist to join an established outpatient practice within the Department of Neurology in Marshfield, Wisconsin. This role offers the opportunity to create a desired work-life balance with a 4 or 5-day work week option. The incoming physician will be part of a supportive team, benefiting from an outstanding radiology department, Neurosurgery services, and a Neurohospitalist team.

Practice Info

  • Established outpatient practice within the Department of Neurology
  • Serves a substantial referral base in Central and Western Wisconsin
  • Trauma level II facility and thrombectomy capable stroke center
  • Supported by an outstanding radiology department, Neurosurgery services, and a Neurohospitalist team
  • Established in-house training program for EEG techs

Responsibilities

  • Perform history and physical examination
  • Admit (if applicable to the setting)
  • Provide consultative services
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and provide nonsurgical care to patients of all ages presenting with illnesses, injuries, and disorders of the neurologic system
  • Be involved in medical education and research

Compensation

  • Nationally competitive compensation plan
  • Compensation floor of $420,000 for the first two years of the employment contract, plus estimated potential to exceed compensation floor from personally performed wRVUs
  • $150,000 retention incentive to be paid if you remain a 1.0 FTE for 4 years
  • May qualify for additional state and/or federal education loan forgiveness programs

Shift & Schedule

  • Option of a 4 or 5-day work week
  • Call is 1:4 weeks and is Monday - Friday 8 am to 5 pm for outpatient Neurology only
  • No reading EEGs at night or on weekends

Requirements

  • H-1B and J-1 visa sponsorship available
  • BC/BE in Neurology
  • Proficiency in EEG interpretation is required
  • M.D. or D.O. degree
  • Successful completion of a Neurology residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada in the residency
  • Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
  • If not board certified, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training
