UW Medicine is comprised of Harborview Medical Center (HMC), UW Medical Center-Montlake Campus (UWMC-Montlake), UW Medical Center-Northwest Campus (UWMC-NW), UW Medicine Primary Care (UWMPC), UW Physicians (UWP), UW School of Medicine (SOM), and Airlift Northwest (ALNW). ITS is responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of the infrastructure and applications which support all these institutions, along with the implementation of new services and applications that are used to support and further the UW Medicine mission.POSITION HIGHLIGHTS100% remote opportunity15 days of vacation your first year – Also, 12 days of sick time, 1 personal holiday, and 11 paid holidays each year100% matching, 100% immediately vesting 403(b)PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIESInteracting with customers and performing detailed, advanced level requirements analysisAnalyzing advanced level work process flows and technical solutions to bridge the gap between current and future statesDesigning, building, testing, and implementing advanced level enhancements to meet requirementsCollaborating and coordinating with other application teams (clinical and non-clinical) on research related buildSupporting advanced level research needs and cross-over with Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS)Building, developing, and supporting advanced level interfaces/bridges/billingProviding advanced level production support and ongoing system troubleshooting, maintenance, monitoring, and trainingParticipating in advanced level projects, processes, and documentation to support customer needsREQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent combination of education/experiencePriority will be given to PharmD candidatesPriority will be given to candidates who hold current Epic certification in WillowCurrently holds two or more current Epic certifications (or equivalent with other EHR systems) OR has obtained Epic proficiency (or equivalent with other EHR systems) and has consistently demonstrated technical competencies for 4+ years in relevant/functional business areaCurrently holds or is willing to complete necessary certifications (determined at time of hire) within first 6 months of employment.

Certifications may include, but are not limited to, Core Clinical, Research (clinical or billing) Beacon, Hospital Billing/Professional Billing, Clinical Apps, and Healthy Planet4+ years' experience must include the following:2+ year(s) of experience providing EHR systems application maintenance/support2+ year(s) of experience with application/system configuration and implementation of clinical information systems (and/or healthcare applications)Advanced experience with EHR systems application maintenance/supportAdvanced experience with application/system configuration and implementation of clinical information systems (and/or healthcare applications)Advanced experience with clinical research - particularly utilizing Epic and/or OnCore CTMSAdvanced experience participating in defining customer requirements, translating them into design specificationsAdvanced experience assisting team members and sharing knowledge, with exposure to mentoring othersAdvanced experience with formal project management methodsAdvanced experience significantly contributing to multidisciplinary work groups in an application development or support settingAdvanced experience independently outlining work plans and meeting deadlinesAdvanced experience executing test plans and test casesABOUT UW MEDICINE – WHERE YOUR IMPACT GOES FURTHERUW Medicine is Washington's only health system that includes a top-rated medical school and an internationally recognized research center.
