Are you a seasoned EH&S professional ready to take the lead in driving health, safety, and environmental excellence at a growing manufacturing facility? We’re seeking an EH&S Manager to join our client’s dynamic team in Portland, OR.

This role offers the opportunity to own and lead all EH&S programs at the plant level, with strong visibility and the ability to make a significant impact across the organization. Reporting directly to site leadership, you’ll serve as the subject matter expert for all safety and compliance efforts, helping ensure the well-being of employees and the surrounding community. Our client offers 2 weeks of PTO to start, MDV, 401K + 6% match, and an annual bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement EH&S policies and procedures aligned with federal, state, and local regulations
• Oversee compliance with OSHA, DEQ, EPA, DOT/FRA, and other regulatory agencies
• Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports and environmental permits (e.g., Title V, Storm Water, NPDES)
• Provide EH&S training to plant personnel and monitor program effectiveness
• Partner with contractors and internal teams to ensure safe work practices
• Support capital projects and lead elements of the plant’s Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Plan (RMP) systems

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in EH&S, Engineering, or a related field preferred
• 5+ years of progressive experience in EH&S within a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Working knowledge of PSM, air permitting, LOTO, confined space, Storm Water, SPCC, and other compliance programs
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
