Engineering TechnicianWe are hiring an Engineering Technician to support electronic hardware development, electro-mechanical assembly, and prototype testing for automotive applications. This role focuses on rapid prototyping, low-volume production builds, and engineering lab support, enabling fast design iterations across the product development lifecycle. This is a hands-on lab-based position supporting cross-functional engineering teams in a fast-paced, high-precision environment where quality, safety, and schedule adherence are critical.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform electro-mechanical assembly of electronic hardware from engineering prototypes through short-run productionSupport engineers during new product development (NPD) to optimize manufacturing and assembly processesDevelop and execute alternative assembly techniques to resolve build and design issuesConduct final product testing per written procedures and engineering documentationPerform quality inspections as a designated Quality Delegate, reviewing work completed by other techniciansAccurately follow process documentation, schematics, drawings, and work instructionsUse standard lab tools and equipment to support hardware validation and testingCommunicate clearly and proactively with engineers and lab team membersMaintain clean, organized, and EHS-compliant workspacesEnsure consistent attendance, punctuality, and schedule reliabilityRequired Qualifications (Must Have)High School Diploma or GED3–5 years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly or engineering lab environmentsProven experience assembling and testing electronic hardware in low-volume or prototype manufacturing settingsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and build documentationProficiency using standard assembly tools, including: Soldering irons, Cutters, crimpers, torque tools, Pin insertion/removal toolsHands-on experience with lab equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, and signal generatorsStrong attention to detail with the ability to work independently with minimal supervisionClear verbal and written English communication skillsWorking knowledge of Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and basic data entry systemsPreferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)Technical training in soldering, trade school, or formal on-the-job training (OJT)Experience supporting automotive, robotics, or autonomous vehicle hardware programsIPC certifications (IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, J-STD-001)Prior experience acting as a Quality Delegate or inspection authoritySubmit your updated CV and complete the screening questions.
