Although services are a bigger part of Apple's business than ever before, these teams remain small, nimble, and multi-functional, offering greater exposure to the array of opportunities here.ResponsibilitiesDrive program roadmap and strategy: partner with engineering to define and execute a program or domain roadmapDevelop and maintain project plans, schedules, and resource allocationLead cross-functional discussions with stakeholders to prioritize and establish a strategic program roadmapIdentify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating as neededTrack project progress, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)Produce succinct and timely status reports to stakeholdersEstablish and maintain feedback loops: develop and sustain a robust feedback loop with stakeholders, partners, and users to drive iterative improvements, ensuring that products continuously evolve to meet user needs and program objectivesDefine success metrics: Assist in the development and monitoring of key product metrics that align with broader product goals, enabling clear measurement of data services success and impactFoster cross-functional relationships: build strong, collaborative relationships across the organization, facilitating seamless communication between teams and fostering a unified approach to program goalsChampion best practices in project management and software development methodologies Drive process improvements and standardization across data services domainMinimum Qualifications5+ years of program management, product management, systems engineering or equivalent experienceExcellent project management skills to drive schedules, dependencies, critical path and risksSolid technical understanding of large scale distributed software systems, event streaming, data pipelines, distributed databases, cloud architectureStrong relationship management and facilitation skills both within diverse engineering teams and cross functional organizationsExcellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, including the ability to convey information in a clear, concise and credible mannerExperience with release planning and SDLC methodologiesFamiliarity with system reliability engineering (SRE) process and deliverablesAbility to partner with product and engineering teams to translate user needs into actionable requirementsStrong facilitation skills (requirements sessions, design meetings, progress and status meetings)BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or similar technical field or at least 5+ years of comparable experiencePreferred QualificationsExperience working with globally distributed teamsExperience building feature and technical roadmapsAbility to identify gaps in solutions, debate approaches, and weigh in on tradeoffsFamiliarity with open-source software development processesPay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $166,600 and $250,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
