This role focuses on continuous improvement, capital project execution, and developing engineering talent in a process safety environment. The position partners cross-functionally to optimize operations and implement scalable, data-driven solutions.Primary ResponsibilitiesLead and develop an engineering team, including coaching, performance management, and succession planningDrive process improvement through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologiesIdentify and implement initiatives to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost performanceManage capital projects ($2M–$4M annually), including scope, budget, scheduling, and executionApply data analysis, automation, and technology to optimize manufacturing processesCollaborate with operations, maintenance, and quality teams to solve complex production challengesLead structured change management initiatives to support adoption and sustain improvementsEnsure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards, including Process Safety ManagementMinimum RequirementsBachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field7+ years of engineering experience in chemical or process manufacturing environments3+ years of people leadership or supervisory experienceDemonstrated experience leading process improvement initiatives with measurable outcomes (e.g., cost savings, efficiency gains)Six Sigma Green Belt certification and experience managing capital projects in a regulated environmentExperience with PLC systems (e.g., Rockwell), SAP, and standard engineering software toolsWork authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorshipPreferred RequirementsMaster's degree in Engineering or related disciplineProfessional Engineering (PE) license or PMP certificationExperience with Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF, AS9100)Experience with CMMS systems and advanced data analytics toolsPay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location. The salary for this role is $135,000-$160,000.
